tp Races: Corlun
The Corlun are descendents of Perceptor's Glimmer Sprites. Other races tend to call them fairies. They aren't elemental, but chemical. They are of varied colours, two inches tall, and slender. Tiny little dancing lights with a head, two arms, and two legs. A breath would destroy them, but they travel away from home in tanks to seek for their master, because he said he'd come back for them, and they're wondering if he forgot.
They have funny quirks. Aurora activity gives them hiccoughs. And they're born married. There is one person they resonate with. The only place they can exist is in the atmosphere of their homeworld.
Live twelve Earth years. Speak in little, swift "songs" of light. Have a tiny pinprick of light at their heart that collects the body of paler light around it. At death the core becomes a tiny, hard black sphere, which is traded away, along with the birth spheres. They make a little sphere when it's time to have a baby. Mama and Dad both put part of themselves into it, and in a little while the new little one pops out. Childhood is very brief, but family ties are strong, and related people tend to stay close throughout their lives unless someone joins the search for Perceptor.
World's not really a planet and it's not a gas cloud. It has substance, but to most people it's not solid. It's stable, so long as big things don't go ripping through it. Distant starlight fuels the world and keeps it renewing itself.
Homes/buildings are made from clear material. Little open lattice structures that many of them will rest or work in. Just the way they're built disrupts the wold's "air" currents and keeps the little people steady inside them. The material is solid to them, but like light and a tiny electrical zap if something made of skin were to touch it. They have industry. And they're very highly technological. My not knowing what it is just goes with the fact that I probably wouldn't understand it or see it anyhow. But I know they build their traveling tanks themselves.
They aren't afraid of much. Only the Quads understand their language. Garment-wise, they think that their little light bodies are the clothing to the brighter light, but to comply with Den-Ya policy the ladies have a little wisp about their hips that suggests a skirt.
Pets are little, reactive whiffs of matter. They'll play with those, and feed them, and keep them around.
At the beginning of the war, Perceptor took them away from Cybertron and left them on that world, because it was calm and quiet, had no life on it, but had plenty of what they needed. Already bred for high IQ, reaction in the atmosphere of this new homeworld made them sentient.
Perceptor hasn't fully forgotten them. He's wiped their location from his processor to keep them safe, but not before storing it on a device with so many layers of encryption that he's about the only person around who could crack the code without deleting all the data on the device. This is in his subspace, and he'll probably find it again some day soon...
