Nexus, Random corner, Um...what?

Deftedge hadn't been quite sure what to expect when he opened the door to a storage unit on base. Whatever he had been expecting, it certainly wasn't coming face to face with a florescent sign and a strange place.

There were so many different-looking beings wandering about, and for a brief moment, Deftedge felt a bit overwhelmed, until he spotted someone of familiar-looking construction. As he approached the blue femme, she turned to regard him.

"Ah...um, could you help me? I was asked to organize a storage hanger and I don't think I'm in the storage hanger anymore, because everything looks different and I really don't have any clue where I am now..." The femme chuckled, smirking a bit.

"First time in the Nexus, huh? Yeah, I can help you out. First off, you're going to need a coordinate scanner and PINpoint. Second off, relax. This place has an anti-violence field, so if you're worried about getting attacked, don't be. The AVF generally prevents attacks from connecting...third-" Before the femme could continue, a couple of small, round objects collided with both the femme, and Deftedge, exploding in a shower of wet.

"WHOAH! What was that?! Did we get attacked? I thought there was an anti-violence field and that it would prevent attacks!" Suddenly, the femme was no longer standing before him. In her place was a dark-haired human female, who looked quite irritated.

"Excuse me a moment." With that, the human grabbed what looked like a rock, and ran off in the direction the projectiles had come from. Moments later, two startled yelps could be heard, and the human was returning, still looking irritated.

"What the heck just happened and why does my voice sound funny and who are you, wasn't there a femme here before?" The human regarded Deftedge for a moment, before sighing.

"We both just got LOL'd. Someone decided to be 'cute' and threw water balloons at us. I got turned into a human...you, on the other hand, got turned into a femme, going by the fact that you were a mech before. I'm Desinex, by the way. I don't know how long this'll last, but I really need to get going..." With that, Desinex turned and vanished in a swish and flash.

"Wait! I got...wait, what?! I'm not supposed to be a femme, I'm supposed to be a mech, how am I supposed to fix this?! Where am I supposed to get one of those PINpoint thingies?!" Deftedge's arms flailed a bit, catching the attention of another being in the Nexus.

"Hey, calm down. You got hit with a prank. It turned you into a femme, but I'm pretty sure it's only temporary. As for a PINpoint, there's a whole bunch of them in a bowl by the sign, or if you want to spend a few creds, there's vending machines that sell 'em as well as scanners." This came from another blue femme, this one of strange construction.

"But that doesn't tell me how I'm supposed to fix this, I mean, I appreciate the tip on getting a PINpoint, even though I don't know what it does and I can't go home like this, Ironhide and the others wouldn't let me live this down and I don't know if I could handle that!" More flailing, but the femme didn't seem too terribly worried.

"Well, most LOLs wear off after a few days, and time runs differently in the Nexus than most realities, so I think if you ask the owner of the Black Dog where a good place to lay low for a few days is, she'll be able to help you. As for a PINpoint, I can help you with that. They're transportation devices and they rely on coordinates to get you from one place or reality to another. Hang tight for a few moments, I'll get you one and a coordinate scanner." With that, the second femme was walking towards some vending machines.

After a few moments, she returned, holding a couple of devices, one of which looked like a cell phone. She smiled a bit, and aimed one of the devices at Deftedge, before plugging the cell phone-looking device into it. The device beeped after a bit, and then the femme offered it to Deftedge. "There. Your home coordinates are programmed into it, whenever you're ready to head back. The Black Dog is over that way, and if you're feeling adventurous, I suggest the yellow fizzy mid grade."

"..." for a moment, Deftedge couldn't speak. That moment quickly passed as 'she' regarded the strange femme with curiosity, "Why are you being so nice to someone who you don't even know and who doesn't even know you when for all you know I could be a Decepticon and be plotting to kill you?" That earned a bit of laughter from the femme.

"Because you got hit with a LOL not even five minutes after you arrived. I saw you come in. And besides, that one femme was kinda rude to you. Yeah, she got LOL'd too, but the way she treated you was a bit out of line. Besides, I've got a sister who got LOL'd awhile back, and it caused a lot of trouble, even though it wasn't her fault in the least...I don't like seeing innocent bystanders getting picked on...I'm Kriti, by the way." Deftedge blinked, before remembering protocol.

"Autobot Deftedge. Are you an Autobot or a Decepticon? I mean, you're not anyone I recognize and I have nothing against anyone who doesn't mind helping a 'bot in need and I do appreciate the help but like I said, you're not anyone I recognize..." Kriti smiled again, before leaning against a table that had appeared a short while ago.

"I'm an Autobot, I just haven't gotten my badge repainted...I just got repainted by Sunny not that long ago, and he said as long as I was careful, I could go hang out in the Nexus. I waited till the clearcoat was fully dry, but I've gotta get headed back in a bit so I can get my badge repainted...If you need any additional help, just ask some of the patrons of the Black Dog. They'll help, unless they're fraggers..." Kriti tilted her head a bit, before smiling sheepishly, "And that was Sunstreaker, wondering where the frag I am, so I've gotta go...I'll stop by later..." With that, and a few steps away, the femme vanished in a similar manner to Desinex.

Deftedge blinked a bit, before shaking her head, and heading in the direction of the Black Dog pub, intending to get some help with the whole "LOL" thing.
