Aria: ...She's not cussing? *looks toward the little purple girl with concern*

bat: *looks up and squeaks quietly as his cage-mates climb over to see what's going on*

Skelly: *looks around to see if it can get down*

bittyDB: *startles slightly, and then cries*

Denpup: *startles and looks to see what bittyDB is upset about*

bittyDB: *just a tired and overstimulated baby*

bats: *baby? Sounds like baby! Don't cry baby!* *so much chatter and squeaking*

Denpup: *will cuddle bittyDB and gently babydance with him*

bittyDB: *little flail, but then puts his head on Mama's shoulder and hiccoughs quietly* Babababa...

Frank: *tugs on his boss's leg, bad wolfing softly*

Denpup: Let's go home, then... I think we could all use some quiet time.

Aria: *points* *softly* Frank's offering you Bitty's sling. Want me to take Nika for a minute?

Pookie: *tries to climb into her arms, squeaking softly*

Nika: *watches with a pouty scowl, one little purple hand clenched around her Skelly*

Denpup: *bitty and pony situated, she'll rise from her crouch and reach for Nika*

white bat: *licks Den's elbow through the bars of the cage*

white bat: *soft chitter as he looks up with big brown eyes. And then a squeak as a calico female with longer fur squishes him slightly in her own attempt to give kissies*

Denpup: *looks to the bat cage, expression softening as she realizes that the white bat actually has black ears, with the right ear's marking extending down to the side of the bat's face, while the left ear's marking stops just below the bat's eye.

white bat: *quiet complaining as the calico female and a female with cream markings shove him away from the bars. He saw the lady first!*

Nika: Fight. Pow. Crack. *bleep*

Aria: Is that so?

Nika: *nods* Into crowd. Weee.

Denpup: Hey, Aria, how much for the white and black fruit bat?

Aria: *looks over with surprise from discussing the first day of the Multiversal fighting tournament* You want another pet?

Frank: *bumps into his boss's foot as he dances*

Denpup: Yeah.

Daniel: *sound of a teleport from just outside the door, and then he comes in and offers to take Nika*

Nika: *pouts and scowls as she thinks about it, but then goes to Unca and resumes her discussion of the fighting tournament*

Aria: *quiet chuckle as she's abandoned, then walks over to the bat cage*

bats: *are having a quiet tussle over who gets to kiss the lady next*

next cage: *the smaller breed bats in this cage are getting squeaky and excited as they peek out of their sleeping pockets*

Denpup: *trying not to squee at all the cute fuzzies*

Aria: *opens the larger cage and calls softly, wiggling her fingers. Has to push three others out of the way and stick her head into the cage to get the white and black one away from the others he's arguing with* You crazy goofs... ah. Hi, guy. Hey. *ear scritches as she backs out of the cage with a black bat with a white forehead star holding onto her arm* There we go.

white bat: *contented expression as his ears flatten happily*

black bat: :p :p :p *mugging for attention!*

Denpup: *snerk*

Aria: *as she closes the cage and offers the white bat to Den* Are you sure you have time to take care of another animal? This guy'll need equipment.

other fruit bats: *look at meeeeeeeeeee*

Denpup: I've actually been working at the blanket factory less since a couple months ago, so I can spend more time at home with the kids.

white bat: *notices Den and reaches curiously. Hi, lady! Youwantsbat?*

black bat: *wants to see too!*

Denpup: *clucks her tongue softly, will move closer so the white bat can cling to her easier*

white bat: *gets her arm and holds on carefully, his black ears perking as he studies this nice new person*

black bat: *complaining bitterly as he's prevented from going too*

Aria: *shushing noises for him as she goes and gets a dried apple to offer to Den* Here. Give him this.

Denpup: *will reach for the offered nom so she can give it to the white bat* Does he have a name?

Aria: Nope. I leave the naming of most critters to their future owners.

white bat: *talking softly about the dried fruit as he examines it*

Nika: *points* Butt.

Daniel: *looks, blinking at the subject change from Roadqueen's first match to somebody's butt* Huh? Oh. Yeah, he's got a black spot on his butt.

Denpup: *quieter now* Kinda like the dog my family had when I was younger.

Daniel: Really? Your dog had a black spot on his butt too?

Aria: *interested watching and listening from where she's petting the black bat*

Denpup: Yeah... He was a purebred Border Collie... He was with our family for almost sixteen years... *phone out, pulls up a picture of herself when she was around the same age as Lumen's wife, will show said picture. In it, she's got a black shirt with mesh sleeves on, and is laughing as a mostly white dog with black markings that match those of the bat licks his nose*

white bat: *can lick phone?*

Denpup: His name was Cody.

Daniel: Like President Pratt's little dog?

Denpup: Yeah.

white bat: *finishes his dried apple and talks about it, then sees if the nice lady would like kissies*

Denpup: Awww.

white bat: *careful cheek kissies. Loves you, lady*

Nika: *amused little snort*

Aria: *trying to convince clingy black bat to go back in the cage*

black bat: *SO CLING!*

Aria: You'll have to deal with this sometimes, if you buy one, Den.

Denpup: I don't mind.

Aria: Do you have room for a big cage? They need one sometimes. With room for a litter box.

Denpup: *nod* Yeah, there's room.

Aria: *watches how Den's holding the bat and smiles slightly, letting the black bat stay where she is* Do you want to look at cages now?

Denpup: *nods* Yeah.

Aria: Okay. Follow me. *turns to head toward the back of the store*

Denpup: *moves to follow Aria*

Aria: *stops at the far back and points* Walk in? Or compact?

Denpup: *will look and consider* Walk in.

Nika: *nod nod as she points authoritatively*

Aria: Okay. You want to pay in installments? I'll throw in food and water dispensers and a toy.

Denpup: Yeah, that might work best.

Aria: Okay. *names a fair first installment* I'll have Gawl bring it to your place. *turns to shelves a little further toward the front* Now, hard carrier, or soft?

Aria: Duffel or backpack?

Aria: Blue. *takes one down and offers it*

Aria: *heads for the front of the store, snagging a small stuffed bunny from a bin in passing* Cash or credit?

Nika: *insults her ancestry*

Aria: *offers the bunny to put into the carrier with him* *also offers a dried apple slice*

Denpup: *will accept the bunny and apple slice* Here, Cody. Here's a new friend for you, and something to nom on. *will tuck the bunny inside the carrier with Cody, as well as the apple slice*

Aria: I'll mail the registration papers. Oh yeah. Will you be taking him outside?

Denpup: I might... *wallet still out* He'll need a collar...

Nika: *passed out cold and drooling down his arm as her skelly clings to her*

Denpup: *nods and goes to make a tag for the collar* *absent humming as she types*

machine: *funny comment of snark as it stamps the tag and drops it into the cup*

Frank: Bad wolf? *is it arguing with you, Boss?* Exterminate?

Denpup: No, Frank.

Frank: *loses interest in the vending machine* Bad wolf, bad wolf, bad wolf...

Denpup: *rolls her eyes* Dork. *will return to the counter to pay for Cody's collar*

Aria: *processes that payment too, then hooks the collar to the handle of the carrier* Enjoy your new friend. Gawl should have the cage to your place before you go to bed.

Cody: *toes hanging onto the mesh in the top of his carrier as he licks his apple slice into mush*

Denpup: Thanks, Aria. *will make sure the carrier is closed securely, then she'll move to bring her posse home*

Daniel: Did you bring the minivan?

Denpup: Yeah.... Why?

Daniel: Just checking. *turns toward the door*

Denpup: *amused snort. Will follow Daniel out the door* *will sleep well tonight, between dreams of the tournament matches that she saw today*
