"And you're sure this'll work?" Hurricane gave the sizeable femme before him a studious look while he waited for her answer.
"Even 'f th'y jes' wahnd up plottin' 'gainst y'all f'r 't, 't least th'y'll be talkin' t' each otha 'n workin' t'getha," The femme nodded as she spoke, amusement dancing in her optics. "'Ere's wh't y'u've gotta do..."
"You sure this'll work? I mean... It sounds like somethin' outta a bad chick flick..."
"According to the femme I was talking to in that weird place, it'll work. We just have to prepare carefully... And having a room with no windows to escape out of might help..."
"... Hurricane?"
"Yes, Erix?"
"We're gonna need a lot of help with this."
The room looked perfect. The food, courtesy of a catering company, had just arrived, as had the flowers.... Only problem was... Someone had gone and warned the guests of honor, as they were nowhere to be found on the fourteenth. Hurricane checked with every available Autobot, and the answers were as varied as the mechs and femmes themselves.
"It wasn't me, Hurricane... I just got back from checking that power plant. Maybe it was Prowl who warned them?"
"It wasn't me. I was helping Bluestreak escape from that duct tape coccoon the Twin Terrors put him in. Eclipse might know something, however..."
"It wasn't me... I don't hang around with the humans very often. Why don't you ask Bumblebee?"
*Oh No, not me... I never lost control... You're face to face with the man who sold the world...
"... Alright then... Any idea of who might've told them?"
**All the single ladies, all the single ladies...
"...To my knowledge there aren't any single ladies here..."
That earned him a gentle patpat on the shoulder and a nod from the yellow scout.
"You mean he actually played a Beyoncé song as an answer? That is so epic..." Hurricane frowned at Erix, not quite getting why that would qualify as epic.
"But I looked everywhere... They're not here..."
At that moment, one of the soldiers walking by happened to overhear the conversation.
"Are you looking for the others? They just got back from dinner at one of the restaraunts in town..."
"..." Erix looked to Hurricane, dismay crossing his face
"...You mean that we went to all that trouble setting up the room and everything... And they went out to dinner while we were doing that?! Awww... Man, what a let-down... This would've been EPIC."
